Ingredients
- For marination
Chicken- 1 kg
Curd- 1 bowl
Garlic paste- 1 tbsp
Ginger paste- 1 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Kashmiri red chilli powder- 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
Coriander powder- 2 tbsp
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Chopped coriander- 1 cup
Chopped mint- 1 cup
- For gravy
Refined oil as need
Sliced onion- 4 medium
Kashmiri red chilli powder- 1 tbsp
Directions
- First take a large bowl, add chicken, curd, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, chopped coriander leaves, chopped mint leaves and salt as per taste into it. Mix it properly and keep it aside for 1 hour.
- After 1 hour, heat oil in a pan, when oil becomes hot, add sliced onion into the pan and fry till it looks golden brown.
- Then add the marinated chicken into the pan and cook it for sometime.
- Now add Kashmiri red chilli powder into them and fry it for sometime.
- Then cover the lid and cook it till chicken properly will be done.
- After done switch off the flame, chicken Hyderabadi is ready to serve hot.
Notes
- If using sour curd do not use lemon juice in the recipe.
- Do not cut down the quantity of oil.
- Roast the ground spices (coriander seeds, cumin seeds, red chilly) before blending them into a fine paste.
- Marinate the chicken overnight for better results.
