Ingredients

  • For marination
  • Chicken- 1kg

  • Turmeric powder- 1 tsp

  • Kashmiri red chilli powder- 1 tsp

  • Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp

  • curd- 1 small bowl

  • For gravy
  • Sliced onion- 6 nos

  • Tomato chopped-4 large

  • Ginger garlic paste- 2 tbsp

  • Red chilli powder- 1 tbsp

  • Turmeric powder- 2 tsp

  • Coriander powder- 1 tbsp

  • Chicken masala powder- 1 tbsp

  • Cinnamon

  • Bay leaf

  • Oil for cooking

  • Salt as per taste

Directions

  • First, take a bowl, add chicken, chili powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste curd, and salt as per taste into the bowl and mix properly. Marinate it for 30 minutes. Murgh Tariwala Step1
  • Then heat oil in a kadhai, add onions, and fry the onions until crispy brown. Remove the fried onions to a plate. After cooling down, in a mixer jar add the fried onions and add some water and make a smooth paste. keep aside.Murgh Tariwala Step1
  • In the same oil, add bay leaf and cinnamon and some onions and fry it till it looks golden brown, now add chopped tomatoes and fry it till it gets mashy. Then add ginger garlic paste and fry it till the raw smell of ginger will go away. Murgh Tariwala Step3
  • Now add Kashmiri red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chicken masala powder and roast it well along with chicken until aromatic.Murgh Tariwala Step4
  • Now add marinated chicken pieces and fry them for 4 – 5 mins on each side. After that cover the lid and in between flip each side and cook. Murgh Tariwala Step5
  • Add salt to taste.Murgh Tariwala Step6
  • After that add the fried onion paste into the chicken and cook it for 5 minutes. Now add water into the chicken and add salt as per taste. cover the lid and cook it till chicken will be done properly. Murgh Tariwala Step7
  • Now switch off the flame, Punjabi style chicken tariwala is ready to serve. Murgh Tariwala Step8
